Tasks.
Reflection.
What did I do? (Remembering): This week I assisted the team with the treatment report, specifically by ordering the objectives in the Content Analysis and by creating the pre-test/post-test slides and designing the Unit 3 Skills Check form. I collaborated with the team on planning the treatment report, planning the creation of the videos, and creating Powtoons for catching the learner’s attention at the beginning of each module. This was a busy week for all of us, so I was very proud of the great communication of the team.
What was important about it? (Understanding): This week was important for designing the foundation/template for each slide and layout the order of the slides in PowerPoint. This is important to expedite the creation process once we download and begin working in Articulate Storyline 2. The more solid our design is here, the more streamline the transition to AS2 will be. It was also very important that we schedule the videography recordings so that we can progress with our skills check demonstrations. These videos will be a lead component in each module, so it is of utmost important that we schedule these and plan accordingly.
Where could I use this again? (Application): I love the idea that our group (I think credit goes to Michelle) on creating the template of the slides in PowerPoint before moving them in to AS2 to save time and effort. This tip most definitely could be used again in future projects. I plan on acquiring AS2 at some point, once I plan on how I can get funding for it, and plan on using this technique moving forward. Great advice, Michelle!
Do I see any patterns in what I did? (Analysis): The pattern I saw this week was that now matter how busy we all are, communication still help strong. I feared communication may decline, but that was not the case. Between texting, email, telephone calls and Google+, we had our bases covered.
How well did I do? (Evaluating): I feel overall that I did well. I was able to step in and assist the team with the treatment report, update the content analysis in a way that benefits the team due to our client’s prioritization on Unit 3 over the others, and assist with the pre-test slides for the slide template. I finally was able to get with Michelle to schedule the videography! Thanks to Amy for assisting with this planning.
What should I do next? (Creating): The next step is to complete the Treatment Report, record our videos Wednesday, and begin creating our modules in AS2. The deadline is nearing faster than we had imagined.
