Jacque Bradford, PT, DPT, MS
Bio:
Dr. Jacque (pronounced "Jackie") Bradford is a physical therapist who returned to the academic setting as a faculty member of the Department of Physical Therapy at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2014 as Director of Clinical Education and Assistant Professor. Dr. Bradford graduated from UTHSC in 2009 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy. She completed her EdD in Instructional Design & Technology at The University of Memphis in May 2018. She has also earned her B.S. and M.S. in Exercise Sport Science from The University of Memphis. Dr. Bradford is very passionate about physical therapy practice in the acute care setting, clinical education and technology-enhanced learning in the healthcare education sector, specifically physical therapy education.

1. To acquire a strong foundation of educational theory and instructional design approaches
2. To be able to plan, analyze, design, develop, implement and successfully defend a dissertation
3. To be able to learn and demonstrate effective instructional design skills and apply them to my professional interests

Professional Goals:
Within the next year, may goal is:
1. To design my first instructional course for DPT students in an effective manner (Documentation in Physical Therapy)
2. To design an effective elective course for practicing clinicians on physical therapy in the acute care setting
3. To fully implement and integrate clinical education software to the clinical education program at UTHSC for the first time in the program's existence
Within the next 3-5 years, my goal is:
1. To use learned instructional design approaches to strengthen the simulation encounters for our DPT students prior to attending clinical affiliations in the field
2. To use my experience in IDT to assist my colleagues with faculty development to incorporate best practices in the classroom and foster successful, meaningful learning
3. To actively participate in planning and organizing interprofessional education and experiences within the
Department of Physical Therapy and within UTHSC College of Health Professions.
4. To author two publications in referred professional journals
5. To hold an office in our local or national professional TPTA/APTA professional organizations
Within 6-10 years, my goal is:
1. To be a strong representative or leader within the physical therapy clinical education community
2. To be able be a innovative leader within the Department of Physical Therapy at UTHSC in the area of instructional design for our curriculum and program
