Reflection.
What did I do? (Remembering): This week began with completing the analysis report and recording a video that reviewed our analysis report with Nicole. This week Raquell, Michelle and Amy worked together on the Statement of Work, and I contributed by offering feedback on the draft. One thing that stood out to me this week was the overwhelming feeling of being too busy and having too much on my plate. This was made apparent to me during our weekly team meeting when my teammates mentioned the revised course schedule and deadlines that Dr. M posted and I was unaware of at the time of the meeting. At the moment it was brought up I felt as though I was slipping and possibly falling behind.
What was important about it? (Understanding): The scare I mentioned above about the lack of awareness I had over the revised schedule was a good scare to make sure that I am creating, updating and sticking to my schedule and lists. Schedules wax and wane, but regardless I should update my schedule daily and monitor the course LMS daily. Thank goodness my teammates brought this to my attention and I am able to adjust my schedule accordingly to accommodate the changes.
Where could I use this again? (Application): Of course! Scheduling is of utmost importance in my career as a faculty member and Director of Clinical Education. Level of being busy waxes and wanes, but having a good handle of my schedule can assist in the success of maintaining all deadlines.
Do I see any patterns in what I did? (Analysis): The pattern I see this week is that I learn a small lesson each week when completing this group project. I cannot possibly foresee all lessons ahead of time, but I can take them in stride when they happen and learn from them.
How well did I do? (Evaluating): I completed all deadlines on time and was able to offer assistance to teammates as well. I feel I am maintaining requirements and what is needed of me by my teammates, but not able to do much more than that at this time. I plan to help out more as my schedule permits in the future.
What should I do next? (Creating): The next step is to begin working on the content analysis and get with Michelle to schedule a time or times to meet and create videos for the psychomotor skills within the unit modules.
